Process, Story & Inspiration

My work explores the relationship between nature, memory, and the traces that remain over time. I am drawn to subtle marks and patterns created by natural processes, such as the movement of water, textures of sand, layers of earth, and the quiet presence of human touch.

I often find inspiration in simple moments and natural processes. I am interested in how time, movement, and touch leave marks and create memories. These observations become the starting point for my abstract works.

I create my works using gel printing and acrylic paint on paper. The process begins with building layers of colour and texture on a gel plate. I use various materials, surfaces, and found textures to create impressions, allowing unexpected marks and patterns to emerge.

Each print develops through a balance between intention and chance. I guide the process by choosing colours, textures, and compositions, while also allowing the materials to influence the final image. Through layering, removing, and adding elements, I create depth, movement, and a sense of transformation.

For me, gel printing is a way to capture fleeting impressions and preserve traces of nature and human presence in a visual form.
